Chris Wilson (BSc Hons, CEng., MBCS, CITP) was born in N. Ireland, studied Computation at Manchester University (U.M.I.S.T.) and has had a career spanning financial services and the energy industry.
Chris has progressed “through the ranks” of IT, from programmer to Chief Enterprise Architect, and designed on-line banking systems for a number of banks in the UK, as well as define and run architectural teams and structures, and the associated governance models. As a result, Chris has a passion for Enterprise Architecture and all it entails. This includes adoption of new technologies and original uses for existing technologies – he has implemented a number of ground-breaking, innovative uses of technologies in his career.
Chris has worked within the UK, and in global companies such as National Australia Bank and latterly for BP. This gives him a wealth of experience in dealing with culturally diverse groups, and managing and aligning remote teams using technology as and where appropriate.
In May 2009, Chris accepted a role as a Research Director, Enterprise Architecture with Gartner, leading information technology research and advisory company. As a result, this site is not being updated on a regular basis. However, should you wish to contact him via email, please follow this link.
